Begin your journey at Ujjain, home to the revered Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga, followed by the architectural wonders of Mandu, and the royal legacy of Maheshwar along the Narmada River. Seek blessings at Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga, and then unwind in the cleanest city of India, Indore, where palaces, temples, bustling bazaars, and famous street food await. With a perfect mix of spirituality, heritage, and culture – this trip is a soul-stirring experience for every traveler.
Itinerary
Discover the spiritual essence and royal heritage of Madhya Pradesh with this 5-day tour covering Ujjain, Mandu, Maheshwar, Omkareshwar, and Indore. From sacred Jyotirlinga temples to majestic forts, serene ghats, and vibrant food streets, this journey blends devotion, history, and culture for an unforgettable experience.
Arrival at Indore Airport / Railway Station. Meet and greet by our representative, and proceed to Ujjain – the City of Pilgrimage. On arrival, check in at the hotel and relax. Later, visit the Mahakaleshwar Temple – one of the 12 sacred Jyotirlingas. After darshan, enjoy local sightseeing of Ujjain. Return back to the hotel.
Overnight stay at Ujjain.
After breakfast, check out and drive to Mandu – the City of Joy, famous for its Afghan architecture, palaces, and Baobab trees. Explore the key attractions. Later, proceed to Maheshwar – the royal town of Ahilya Bai Holkar. On arrival, check in at the hotel and relax. In the evening, visit Ahilya Bai Fort, Narmada Ghat, and explore the vibrant local market for Maheshwari Sarees.
Overnight stay at Maheshwar.
After breakfast, check out and drive to Omkareshwar. Visit the sacred Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga Temple (one of the 12 revered Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva) and other local temples. Later, continue your journey to Indore – the Cleanest City of India. On arrival, check in at the hotel and relax. In the late evening, enjoy the famous Sarafa Bazaar street food market (starts at 10 pm).
Overnight stay at Indore.
After breakfast, enjoy a full-day sightseeing tour of Indore:
- Rajwada Palace – Holkar dynasty palace.
- Lal Bagh Palace – an architectural marvel.
- Khajrana Ganesh Mandir – a revered temple.
- Kanch Mandir – the famous Jain temple made of glass.
In the evening, visit 56 Dukan (famous food street) and shop in local markets. Return back to the hotel.
Overnight stay at Indore.
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to Indore Railway Station / Airport for your onward journey with divine memories of Madhya Pradesh.

Notes
- Bhasma Aarti, Sheeghra Darshan & Garbh Grah Darshan are not included in the package. Guests can book directly via the official portal: shrimahakaleshwar.com.
- During Sawan, Shivratri, Holi, Diwali, New Year & major festivals, Garbh Grah / Special Darshan may remain closed.
- Bhasma Aarti opens 1 month prior, Sheeghra Darshan 15 days prior & Garbh Grah Darshan 1 day prior (subject to change).
- Heavy crowd, VIP movements, permits cancellations & traffic jams are common in Ujjain & Omkareshwar.
- Narrow roads, parking shortage & ongoing development may require walking; guests may use rickshaw/auto at their own cost.
- Vehicle will operate point-to-point as per itinerary, not on disposal.
- Guests are advised to be patient, follow safety/covid rules, avoid rush hours, and take care of personal belongings.
